Responsibilities
As a Gardener at Walter Peak, you will:
- Support annual planting plans to create seasonal garden displays.
- Prepare seed beds and nurture plant growth from start to finish.
- Plant and propagate trees, shrubs, hedges, bulbs, and flowers.
- Maintain lawns by weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems when required.
- Prune and care for trees, including installing support structures.
- Create softscape and hardscape features to enhance garden areas.
- Manage pests and diseases to keep plants healthy.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Good knowledge of plant types, garden bed preparation, plant care, and pruning.
- Working knowledge of horticulture principles and practices.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to collaborate well with a small, close-knit team.
